Over de functie
As a Financial Controller, you will be responsible for a wide range of financial activities, from bookkeeping to coordinating international activities and everything in between. Working closely with the CFO, you will enjoy significant autonomy and responsibility in overseeing the day-to-day financial operations of the business. Moreover, you will serve as the go-to person for all finance-related matters, establishing yourself as an indispensable asset to the organization. This role is perfect for finance professionals who thrive outside the confines of an ‘organizational silo’.
Key responsibilities of the Financial Controller include:
- Preparing and analyzing various reports periodically for both internal and external stakeholders
- Managing accounting and administration for multiple entities
- Reviewing reports prepared by local accountants
- Conducting credit reviews for current and potential business relationships
- Ensuring compliance with local tax regulations
- Collaborating with internal departments and external parties to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of information
Jouw kwaliteiten
For this job of Financial Controller, we are looking for a hands-on and enthusiastic person. You possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, along with an energetic, flexible and proactive approach to work.
In addition, you have:
- At least a bachelor’s degree (HBO) in Accounting or equivalent
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar accounting or audit role
- A solid understanding of Accounting Principles
- Previous experience working for an international firm
- Excellent communication skills across various levels
- High proficiency in English. Knowledge of a native or secondary language, such as German or Spanish, would be a valuable asset
