My client is an engineering-focused company passionate about offering high-tech simulation and test technologies for global aircraft, automotive and motion control application markets.

Over de functie

  • Take a leading role in ensuring that an acceptable technical & commercial quotation is provided to the Account Managers within the agreed timeframe according to the established procedures (i.e. Customized Product Introduction - CPI, Bid/No-bid, Cost & Pricing, etc.);
  • Collaborate with Account Managers and the European Contract Manager, during customer’s visits and contract negotiations for complex projects assuring optimized commercial conditions;
  • Transfer of the purchase order to the Project Manager/team to execute the order to confirm client needs and contract;
  • Provide internal training on customer needs, products, competition comparison, differentiators, etc;
  • Evaluate current competitive products and initialize and support new product developments and help to price new products;
  • Report accurate sales forecast for financial & operational planning purposes;
  • Assuring all relevant information is given about the case of the sale to the project team;
  • The Technical Sales Manager supports the sales growth in alignment with the European and Global business strategy;

Special circumstances 

  • The number of different sales projects is very large and the diversity of tasks associated with the function asks for multiple skills capacity and flexibility;
  • Large cultural differences across the customer base add a dimension to the difficulty.

Jouw kwaliteiten

  • Minimum bachelor degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering;
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a B2B environment;
  • Creative with strong commercial skills;
  • Good level of spoken and written English; a second language is appreciated;
  • Readiness to travel on a regular basis across the world;
  • Good presentation and training skills;
  • Enthusiastic, cross-cultural, independent and pro-active.
